Our Top Ten Favourites!

Here is a run down of the places that we have come to acquaint ourselves with making us go back the second time or maybe third!


Rosina's Favourite Things:


1. Favourite Place for Brunch
- Pastis, Meat Packing District.

2. Favourite Place for Dinner
-Dallas BBQ's cheap, tacky but delicious American Nosh! The cocktails are pretty good too!

3. Favourite Place for Drinks
- Don't Tell Mama, 46th btwn 8th,9th, great little Thespian piano bar!

4. Favourite Area
- Upper West, 72nd-about 110th ...in the sunshine!

5. Favourite Place for Shopping
-Urban outfitters constant sales, Sephora and come on 5th Avenue but no lower than about 45th, it gets tacky!

6.Favourite Park
-Hudson river park at sundown.


7. Favourite Hidden Gem
-Chelsea Market, although no so hidden anymore, so maybe Tom's diner at 125th!

8. Favourite Place as a Token Tourist
-Grand Central Station


9.Favourite Classes
Peridance, nice vibe, not too hot, Michele Oliva Mon/Weds 7.30-9pm, Chris Hale BDC Wed/Fri 3pm-4.30pm

10.Favourite American 'Thing'
- Brown Stone apartments with Fire Escape Ladders!



Sam's Favourites Things:


1. Favourite Place for Brunch
    Pigalle Brassiere on 50th & 8th Ave (and also The Diner on 100th & Broadway cos its cheap!)

2. Favourite Place for Dinner
    Long-Grain Restaurant- Japanese (which we went the second on Valentines!)

3. Favourite Place for Drinks

    Skyroom on 40th between 8th & 9th Ave (fantastic views of Times Square)

4. Favourite Area/ District
    West and Greenwich Village (as it hosts the HighLine, Chelsea Market, and Bleecker St)

5. Favourite Place for Shopping
    SoHo (for its an array of European High-street Brands and funny enough most of the Americans still don't know of Topshop/Topman)

6.Favourite Park
  Of course Central Park!!!! many many times we have spontaneously gone for a walk

7. Favourite Hidden Gem
    Crooked Tree East Village- the best crepes in town!

8. Favourite Token Tourist Thing
    Going to see the Statue of Liberty! 

9.Favourite for Class
   Jermaine Browne @ BDC (Commercial Hip-Hop) and Travis Wall (he came to BDC right at the beginning of the program, a very exciting experience to take a class from a SYTCD contestant/ series Choreographer.

10.Favourite American 'Thing'
     Oreo- every eatery, fast food, and coffee house have something Oreo flavoured, oh as i always choose it as I love the taste.
