Introducing....THE AMAZON LOCKER

One of the best things we have discovered in NYC whilst purchasing Xmas gifts is the...Amazon Locker! Ok, so unlike most here in New York, we do not have a doorman and with a 9-5pm schedule being in to sign for UPS or FedEx packages is pretty non-existant and we end up with three 'we tried to call reminders' and a package somewhere in a far off sorting office!

Whilst grocery shopping in our nearest supermarket we noticed these big silver locker structures, entitled 'Amazon Locker'...naturally we got home and googled them! Amazon now have begun its own post office pick up system (just in NY at the moment) for people like us who order things without being in to sign for them! You select your 'locker' location and Amazon ship to that place, emailing you a personal pick up code, and giving you three days of the locations opening hours to go and collect your package before it is sent back to Amazon. Considering you can buy pretty much anything from Amazon...this is awesome!!!

I went today to pick up a couple of parcels, with my own unique code, typed it in, was notified my item was in locker 36...pressed go and BAM the locker door sprung open and there was my lovely package, picked up at a time that was suitable for me!

Brilliant....bring this to the UK!!! (And yes i am sure there are types of this like Collect+ already there but it is just not so cool!)
