Karaoke!

After a long and tiring week, Malcolm decided that we should all go out and get to know each other better and get to see some of the city! We had no idea what to do, ideas were flying around, and having to check the ID issues with people that were under 21 (for once Rosina wasn't the baby and had ID!!!)

BBQ's was the final decision followed by some Karaoke in the East Village (thanks to fellow brit, Natalie, for scouting that gem out!).

So BBQ's for you (and us to until tonight) naive British people is very similar to Nandos BUT HUGE. Everything is huge,

The drinks are huge;

The Food is huge; (The is Phu modelling the House special, Steak, Baby back Ribs, Shrimp, fries, onions and Corn Bread, which i personally needs a blog to its own!)

The Place is huge; 3 levels, this picture does not do it justice!

And of course the table of very loud, obnoxious and outgoing dancers was HUGE

After stuffing our faces about ready to pop, we prepared to move to the East Village, 25 tourist like dancers crossing Times Square and onto the Subway was not an easy manoeuvre!

Arriving at the Karaoke bar, and hundreds of songs including a rendition of 'Your the one that I want' from Sam and I, we all left for our separate ways. So great to get to know each other better and a big respect for Tomoyo from Japan who has speaks so very little English but still she came along. So brave to be in a city and a situation where nobody speaks your language, but of course when ABBA came on the Karaoke she knew every word! Rosina's French, Swedish and japanese is improving, Sam has perfected Konichiwa!

Swedish
Hej? Hur Mar Du? Vilka Klasser ska du ta? - Hey, How are you, what classes have you taken today?

Japanese:
Konnichiwa!  O-genki desu ka? Watashi no namae wa Rosina desu!  Hey, How are you? I am called Rosina!

And on that note, as the clock strikes 2.33am, you people reading this are probably just getting up as were going to bed! Night night!
